Who we are
Youth Empowerment Project BVI (YEP) is a nonprofit youth organisation based in the British Virgin Islands. Our website address is https://yepbvi.com. YEP is committed to protecting the privacy and safety of all individuals who interact with our organisation, including children, families, staff, volunteers, and website visitors.
Children’s Privacy
YEP works directly with children and takes their privacy extremely seriously. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 18 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. All programme registration and personal data for participants is collected from a parent or guardian. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without consent, please contact us immediately at info@yepbvi.com and we will take prompt action to remove it.
Zero-Tolerance
YEP maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward bullying, harassment, physical assault, verbal abuse, discrimination, and any behaviour that endangers the physical or emotional safety of any child, staff member, or volunteer. This policy applies to all YEP programmes, events, and activities regardless of location.
Any incident of bullying, assault, or harmful behaviour will be taken seriously and addressed promptly. Depending on the severity of the incident, consequences may include immediate removal from the programme, notification of parents or guardians, and referral to the appropriate authorities. YEP reserves the right to permanently dismiss any participant, volunteer, or staff member found to have engaged in such behaviour.
If you witness or become aware of any incident involving the safety or wellbeing of a child or any individual connected to YEP, please report it immediately to a staff member or contact us directly at info@yepbvi.com.
